I donated in support of this campaign.

Myself and a team of students from the University of Tulsa are traveling to Bolivia to implement a sanitation system for a community in the Andes that does not have access to water and sanitation systems that we so often take for granted. I am so incredibly proud of the hard work that this team is doing to Build a Better World, but none of it would be possible without generous donations from family, friends and colleagues.
780 million people worldwide do not have access to improved water and 2.5 billion do not have access to improved sanitation. The water crisis worldwide is only getting worse so raising awareness now is incredibly important in taking steps to reverse this before more and more cities begin to experience Day Zeroes where they indefinitely run out of clean water.
In order to raise awareness for this I will be participating in a Clean Water Fast from October 4-6. For 36 hours I will be eating and drinking nothing but water. Please consider donating to this cause as it is incredibly important that we raise awareness about the lack of our most valuable resource before it is too late.
Every little bit helps. A portion of your donation goes towards our chapter's project to bring these human needs to this community and Bolivia and the rest goes to Engineers in Action who are doing incredible work raising awareness about the global water shortage.
If you want to learn more about the water crisis and how to help look up Explained on Netflix and watch the episode on the Global Water Crisis.
Again, thank you so much for contributing. If everyone helps a little bit, together we can make universal clean water access a reality! Donate, share, make a difference!
